Billy Wayne is the founder and president of Vision Productions, Inc.  He is an ordained minister, contemporary Christian vocal artist, and director/playwright/actor.  A native of Kingsport, TN, Billy Wayne was raised in bordering counties of Tennessee and Virginia.

For more than 20 years, Billy has traveled across the United States and Mexico to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and ministry.  Completing more than 300 singing/speaking engagements per year, Billy Wayne continues to challenge and minister to people of all ages.

In addition to his conference and speaking engagements, Billy Wayne connects with youth through vocal and visual arts.  An accomplished singer/songwriter, he has produced 15 music recording projects, two long form videos, several short form music videos, and a live DVD concert video project.  Known in the Christian music industry, Billy was also awarded regional finalist for the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Songwriter of the Year in 2000 and 2002.

Prior to full-time ministry, Billy Wayne worked in professional theatre for several years as an actor and director.  Throughout his career, he directed more than 80 productions, many of which he wrote for Christmas, Halloween, and special events.  In addition, Billy Wayne has also written and directed 19 Easter passion plays.

His skills and talents for theatre began early in life and continued through college.  Arrington graduated from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music/theatre.

Throughout his career, Billy has successfully intertwined his creative talents with his call to ministry.  However, ministry was not ingrained in him as a child.  In fact, he did not grow up in a Christian home; rather he struggled in an abusive and alcoholic environment.  He learned about Christianity through his grandparents and a church bus ministry in Kingsport, TN.  Once on his own in college, Billy Wayne got involved with an evangelistic Christian singing group called New Life.  It was during these years that Billy felt God’s call to ministry.

Torn between his dreams of New York and his calling, Billy made a choice to give up Broadway to follow the leading of Christ.  In complete submission, Billy Wayne went to work for a Christian ministry at Yellowstone National Park.  From there, he traveled with His Harmony, performing concerts throughout the western states.

Billy Wayne then went to work for The Smoky Mountain Passion Play in Townsend, TN as an actor/singer.  One year later, he was the assistant director of America’s largest outdoor drama, “The Great Passion Play”, at the Kingdom Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN.  Here, Billy served as the assistant director of the summer production and director of the Christmas production “Christmas at the Kingdom”.  During his time at Kingdom Resort, God called Billy Wayne to full-time ministry.

Today, Billy Wayne continues to move and inspire people of all ages through this multi-faceted ministry.  Through conferences, drama, and concerts, Billy Wayne is fulfilling God’s great commission to share the gospel.
